Since its founding in 1971, the Elmwood Park Girls Softball League has been a cornerstone of our community, thanks to the tireless efforts of two extraordinary individuals: Brenda Huffman (along with her husband Bob), who established the league and has led it with passion for over 50 years, and Bob Unger, who has devoted more than 30 years to ensuring the league’s financial stability as Treasurer. Together, they have shaped the league into what it is today, leaving an indelible mark on generations of players, families, and the Elmwood Park community.
As Brenda and Bob step down from their roles, we are humbled by their 70+ years of combined service and are committed to honoring their incredible contributions. Details about how we plan to celebrate Brenda and Bob’s legacy will be shared soon.
