Last night, our 12U Summer Travel Team saw their outstanding season come to an end with a hard-fought loss to North Arlington.
While the final score wasn’t what we had hoped for, this team has so much to be proud of. They finished the season playing some of their best softball, winning three of their last four games and showing tremendous growth, confidence, and resilience down the stretch.
That’s what youth sports are all about. It’s about learning, improving, overcoming adversity, and growing as teammates and individuals.
This group of young ladies represented Elmwood Park with class, determination, and sportsmanship all season long, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything they accomplished. Congratulations to our players, coaches, and families on a fantastic season.
Now, as only the softball gods could script it, Elmwood Park gets another shot at North Arlington.
Our 14U Summer Travel Team, which advanced to the second round after receiving a first-round forfeit, will take on North Arlington tonight with a chance to continue Elmwood Park’s playoff run.
While it’s a different team and a different game, they’ll have the opportunity to carry the torch for our softball family and write the next chapter of this season.
